This Onkyo system consists of the 7.1-AV-Receiver TX-SR603E and the DVD/SACD-Player DV-SP503E. Both components are very elegantly designed and feature an aluminium front panel that is available in either black or silver. It has also performed brilliantly in the listening and viewing test. The 603’s measuring system performed amazingly well and impressed with its powerful 7x105 watts at 8 Ohm. The 503 turned out to be a versatile source for sound and picture, and showed that it can cope with anything from MP3 to DivX-Videos. It can also manage all kinds of analogue video transmissions, from scart to component.

It provides the sound converters with clean signals and music lovers will be very enthusiastic about the system’s dimensional playback as this enables them to experience a whole range of different kinds of music. However, the TX-SR603 is also excellent when it comes to home cinema. With the perfect decoding of the signals this home cinema system makes films incredibly real.
