DAB+ Radio Tuner
Opening Up the Content-Rich World of Free-to-Air Digital Radio
With its 40 station presets, the UP-DT1 gives you access to an exciting array of DAB and DAB+ digital radio channels. Thanks to the superior efficiency of digital radio—DAB+ signals are encoded in the high-compression MPEG-4 audio codec—it’s possible to fit many more channels onto a given bandwidth than with traditional analog radio. More channels means more entertainment. While the UP-DT1 is delivering a robust digital audio signal to the Universal Port on your compatible Onkyo receiver*, the receiver in turn powers the tuner through the same convenient cable. What’s more, you can use the receiver’s remote controller to adjust settings on the tuner. Lastly, a rear-side Universal Port input on the UP-DT1 gives you the option of “daisy chaining” a second compatible device, such as the new UP-A1 Onkyo Dock for the iPod. *Compatible models: TX-SR507, TX-SR577, TX-SR607, and later models from Onkyo’s 2009 A/V receiver range.
