Hello, does anyone answer here to customers? Because in 4 weeks, I have not got an answer from customer service e-mail about Onkyo TX-NR 708 that is in this Service Program, it's fixed, but I cant receive it untill Onkyo Europe pays for the new HDMi board to Estonian distributor ....This is not normal... it's been there from 5'th of March... and Estonian distributor reported my Receiver being fixed on 23'rd March, but they can't give it back until they receive cleared payment from Onkyo EU for the HDMi board...I have owned many Onkyo products, but this service is just terrible! :(

After the last firmware upgrade was done, my Tx-nr708 will not play any music files on connected harddrive, via network, nor radio stations in the built in internet tuner.I have tried to reset it a couple of times, but the problem goes on.It will find the music files, but says "cannot play".Radio stations will buffer, but hjen nothing.How can I solve this?Regards, Erik

Another frustated TX-NR708 Owner, The image is flickering and it does it quite often every 2 minutes; I've been reading quite a lot of horror stories about issues with the HDMI board and quite frankly I can't understand why you expect customers to pay for servicing when this is clearly a manufacturing problem, this happened since I had the receiver and I was prepared to live with it but I'm now in a point where I'm annoyed and don't know what to do. I did reset the system and update firmware and still have issues I don't feel I have to take it to a service and pay £100 to solve a manufacturing issue I'll apreciate if you could give me a solution
Here also a broken HDMI board on my TX-NR708. Only 3 years old and bought it for a lot of money. Wonder how Onkyo is gonna solve this problem.[Ticket#2014010810001652]
My Onkyo TX-NR708 is also suffering from the 'no sound' problem. Again the HDMI board is to blame. This is my second Onkyo receiver with an inferior HDMI board. Current device is only 2.5 years old.
TX-NR 708 no sound issue that EVERYBODY have...maybe you should tell customers that your product last only 3 years
I had an Onkyo TX-NR708, it failed with the usual fault of no sound and network/firmware update greyed out in the menus, Mark has authorised a replacement and thanks for that however according to the DPD tracking it has the wrong delivery postcode. I have emailed this info over as only onkyo can get the delivery address changed to the correct one. As usual im getting no reply to my emails Re: [Ticket#2013110410001241] ONKYO: Support-Request. Mark were so close to a resolution but falling at the last hurdle. Will I get my replacement AV amp before xmas? come on Mark please reply to my emails so we can get this sorted.
