Hi, I know that Onkyo USA has its "Loss of Audio/Network Connection Customer Care Program" to deal with this issue of the hdmi motherboard, having extended the warranty service period for the av's affected until 2018. How is this addressed by Onkyo on the European market? Just lost the sound and network connectivity on my tx-nr515 (2.5 yrs old so no more warranty) and am seriously considering ditching Onkyo for a more consumer-friendly brand...Thanks.
Hi Guys, got a problem here with my receiver TX-NR515 (updated last week to latest firmware). My entire music collection is stored in a Synology server and streamed via DLNA, all my files were mp3 and m4a audio files (about 7000 of them) + 5 songs from Linn Records in 192/24 FLAC, I could navigate thru it all and play from the server using the remote app (on my Galaxy S3 or S4 or iPad 2) no problems, very rarely the app would hang saying "acquiring data". The problem started 3 days ago when I finished ripping all my cds again but this time using FLAC 44.1/16, now about 3500 files are FLAC and the rest is a mix of mp3 and m4a, I kept the folders/subfolder as short and as simple as possible as I like to navigate by folders on the app, I can still stream all the music no problem, but using the app on any of my android or iOS devices is a pain now (app v1.70), I can navigate down to folders and subfolders and play a song no problem, but then, I can't go back (doen't matter if I'm playing flac, mp3 or m4a), every time I want to go back the app hangs at "acquiring data" (sometimes after 5 min or so it goes back, most of the time just hangs). If I'm not playing any song I can still go back no problem. I don't know what to do, it doesn't look like the receiver is the problem, if I use the actual remote control I can navigate back and forth without any hanging. Is just the remote app that hangs. Hello again Guys & Girls Thanks for the reply manfred :)So it said i am eligible for free repair for my TX-NR515But the loss Audio is only through optical audio and the loss of Network Connection is ok if i unplug and plug back in, Shall i still send it back.Just to be sure ?ThanksRichard

Hi I have a strange issue with my tx-nr515, I mainly use the HDMI on Passthrough with the unit in standby, I have my Freesat box connected through along with some other devices. every evening about 18:30 the Onkyo seems to stop passing through the HDMI, initially we thought it was the new freesat box but if you pause the Freesat box and turn the Onkyo on then off your paused image is there, we believe about 23:30 the same thing happens, but we are not always watching TV at that time, any ideas cheers

I have a TX-NR515, which I purchased 3 months ago, and just got also the UBT-1 as I wanted to transmit music from my Cellphone like to headphones (e.g. using Spotify application) I can pair and connect various cellphones (LG G2 D802, Samsung Galaxy S2) to the adapter/receiver and doing so I get correct on-screen feedback – "Onkyo UBT-1 / Danny G2".But the receiver does not output any sound, despite the cellphone which is playing the audio being under the impression that all is well and same on the receiver side. I am using the latest firmware, and I have already tried unplugging the unit. All other functions of the receiver work correctly. I have even done a factory reset. I have also a TX-NR626 receiver, in which the Bluetooth is integrated. On this receiver I can transmit music using Bluetooth using same cellphone without any problem.Please advise.Danny
Seems like I am having the same problems as a lot of people with a 2 year old Onkyo amp. I have the TX-NR515. Just turned it on one evening and major problem. Keeps losing sound, network and HDMI output. Nothing from headphones. Resetting gives me sound back but as soon as I switch sources it loses sound again. HDMI Video output sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. HDMI Audio output rarely works. Then resetting might make it work or I have to unplug the amp and plug it back in, then do reset again etc.. Just can't get it to continuously work any more, its totally unstable and can't be used. Very frustrating and when reading lots of similar issues always seems to be a problem like this when the amp is in its second year of use. It has sat in one place since new and hasn't been used much, mainly for watching a movie once or twice a month. It must be a software problem because sometimes it does work and sometimes not. How do i force it to do a reinstall of the latest firmware?? Like a complete refresh? Not a happy Onkyo owner!
When will Onkyo support Spotify Connect on their receivers?? Because the Spotify app that is on their receivers now (tx-nr515) isn't working for me. No playlist updates and really slow.
