Hi, Ive got a tx-nr509, have always been able to operate the volume on this via my sky remote ( as i managed to find a setup up code years ago when i bought this) had a problem with the sky remote yesterday which i managed to fix, but batteries were out so long that its forgotten the code. Anyone know this code as Ive looked for hours now with no joy, and getting a little annoyed!Thanks in advance.

Why don't I get answers to my questions? Why is the support that bad? No phone contact possible and no feedback to mails. My receiver tx nr509 is the second time broken within 2 years. What kind of product quality is that... I can't believe it....
Hi I have a tx-nr509 av Receiver, I'm have a ps4 attached to the game hdmi and my sky box to the Cbl/sat. My hdmi control is on on my Samsung TV and rhid is on on the receiver. My problem is it always defaults to the TV/cd when I turn on my TV and sky not to cbl/sat. I still want it to also automatically turn on when my Ps4 comes on aswell. Any help would be appreciated!
Hi,I appear to have the faulty HDMI board issue (TX-NR509). I've raised a ticket - #2013112010001291 and replied to the automated email with my receipt as I am still in warranty (just). Can you advised what will happen next and how long this will take to deal with?
Device: Onkyo TX-NR509Problem: no sound outputWhat happened: after plugging in a USB-Stick (64 GB, SanDisk, formatted to FAT32) the mp3-Files (folder structur as well) could be read but after playing a song the device stopped the sound playback after 30 seconds and I had to switch the device off and on again to continue the playback.After the second playback there was no sound at all, no USB sound, no radio sound, no streaming sound, and no sound from DVD Player / PS3.Error Message when trying to access web or USB is "Now initializing" and this initializing process does not stop.There is no sound. I tried to unplug HDMI cable but nothing changed.When entering the Receiver setup via On Screen Display (OSD) I cannot access the options "Network setup" and I cannot access the option "Update" (grey scale).Receiver does not appear in my router (FritzBox! 7170) any more. Before it appeared.Every other internet device works fine.Does anybody know about this phenomen - and how to fix it again ?Thanks in advance
Im having the same problem as many others using the Onkyo tx-nr509. Theres no problem with the video output but the audio output is gone. Ticket#2013101810001207
I would like to share my first experience with Onkyo on Facebook. The Onkyo European support organisation has stopped helping me anyway :cry: and I am curious to hear about similar experiences from other people.I bought my Onkyo TX-NR509 in Sep 2011 and I was a very happy with it. As long as it worked.As I have seen from so many owners on different forums the audio output died in June 2013. I brought my receiver to the local repair center where after some time it became clear that their would be little chance that Onkyo would be capable of repairing my system. Reason: there was such a huge backlog of identical problems in Europe that spare parts were no longer available. This appears to me as a serious design flaw in these receivers!The local repair center sent my system back to the Onkyo European Support Center on July 12th with the message I would most likely receive a credit from Onkyo for a new receiver. Since then I have had some contacts with the support center, but till now I still don't have a solution for my problem... after more then 4 months.My conclusion: Onkyo is not capable of correctly designing receivers and doesn't have the support organisation to fix their problems.This was my first Onkyo receiver, but I'm pretty sure it will be my last.
have a problem with my TX-NR509. There is no sound and no connection to the internet. Also when trying to set up speakers using Audacity the unit locks and screen just shows wait. From Youtube I can see that MANY people have had the same problem so this cannot be a coincidence. PLEASE HELP!!!!
