Onkyo Debuts a Stylish and Affordable Compact System with Bluetooth and aptX® Wireless Audio Streaming
Press Release dated: 25 Jul 2012Global home audio innovator Onkyo proudly announces a chic new addition to its range of compact audio packages. The CS-245BT 'Colibrino' CD Hi-Fi Mini System is a great-sounding package boasting Bluetooth wireless streaming using aptX technology.
Onkyo excels at producing solid, well-made, desirable products, and that commitment to quality is plain to see here. Now users can also enjoy the ease of wireless audio streaming in a mini system (available in black or white finishes) that instantly adds a touch of class to any room.
The CS-245BT offers the user a wide selection of sources and connectivity. As well as a quality front-loading CD player and an FM tuner, the receiver boasts a USB connection for iPhone, iPod, or flash-memory device. Playback is easily controlled using the system remote while the handset gets a handy recharge.
The big news, however, is the inclusion of built-in Bluetooth Version 2.1 +EDR, along with the highly effective aptX codec from CSR. Users can now stream wirelessly from any compatible mobile phone, smartphone, tablet, or computer with aptX, preserving the natural dynamic range in real time for superb audio quality.
A 3.5mm analogue audio front panel input is also fitted to allow users to connect a wide range of electronic devices, and there is a subwoofer pre-out should the user wish to add more bottom-end impact to their audio entertainment.
Ever mindful of how attention to detail can make or break the users’ experience with a product, the CS-245BT package includes a 30 station radio preset memory, display dimmer, sleep timer, plus a straightforward remote control.
Equipped with an eco-friendly digital amplifier (standby power consumption is just 0.26 of a watt) and Active Bass Control for smooth bass at all volume levels, listeners will enjoy a clear and natural yet effortlessly musical sound quality. Supplied with quality two-way bookshelf speakers fitted with 10cm drivers and soft-dome tweeters, this system is more than capable of delivering well-defined stereo sound in smaller rooms.
